Ongoing
An ongoing placement is one in which both family
and provider are seeking a long-term relationship. Providers
are asked to make a minimum one-year commitment to a family.
An ongoing placement may be either full-time or part-time.
The provider becomes the employee of the family.
-
Full-time: A
fulltime provider works 40 or more hours per week.
Fulltime providers are typically compensated on a
weekly salary, and receive certain benefits such
as paid holidays, paid time off, reimbursement for
mileage when transporting the children or running
errands on behalf of the family, and possibly a contribution
toward health insurance depending upon the nanny’s
particular situation. Average compensation ranges
from $500 to $650 per week. Salary ranges will vary
based upon the Nanny’s individual qualifications
and the requirements of the job.
- Part-time: Part-time providers
work less than 40 hours per week. Part-time providers
may be compensated on either a weekly salary (typically
for heavier part time hours) or an hourly basis. Part-time
providers often receive some holiday pay, some paid
time off, and reimbursement for mileage when transporting
the children or running errands on behalf of the family.
Average compensation ranges from $12-$15 per hour.
Temporary
A temporary provider is one who will be needed for a specified
time frame only. Typical examples include:
- Newborn Specialists and Night nurses:
to help after the birth of a child. Both daytime and
night time hours available.
- Summer Provider: to care for school
age children over their summer break.
- Fill in: to assist a family while their
current provider is on vacation, medical leave, etc.
Temporary providers are compensated on
a weekly salary for a fulltime temporary provider, or hourly
for a part-time temporary provider. Compensation ranges
above typically apply.
Occasional
For our registered families, we also offer occasional care.
Should you need a provider to care for your children
while you go out for the evening or while you travel
out of town, we have professional child care providers
available. We ask at least 48 hours notice, preferably
longer for overnights. Provider compensation is $15 per
hour, with a minimum of four hours. Overnight care will
range from $125-$175 per overnight depending upon requirements
of the job.
Hotel Child Care
We provide in-room hotel child care for families visiting
the Greater Cincinnati area. We require at least 48 hours
advance notice. Compensation for the provider is $15
per hour with a four hour minimum, plus reimbursement
for parking, or arrangement for valet parking, if applicable
(primarily downtown hotels).
Group Child Care
We provide group child care for special occasions such
as weddings, anniversaries, conferences, etc. It is our
belief that the children should enjoy themselves as much
as their parents. Thus, activities, compensation, etc.
are quoted on an individual event basis. Please contact
us with details and ideas, and we will gladly provide
a proposal.
